Bella is inspired by what she sees. Her work focuses on figures and still life objects.
Bella began life drawing under the tutorage of Dilip Sur at the age of 14. She completed an Art Foundation year at City & Guilds of London and studied drawing at Charles Cecil Studios in Florence.
Drawing as a mindful practise
Bella is passionate about the deep discoveries that can be made through the process of mark making. For Bella, this is a truly therapeutic practise and In times of acute anxiety in her early twenties, she found that drawing offered her respite and a sense of calm.
From her own experiences of finding calm through drawing, Bella started her life drawing class business Bella's Bits & Bobs with the intention of bringing the therapeutic quality of drawing to as many people as she could. With her positive and supportive energy, she encourages her students to let go and find their 'flow' at the drawing board with no judgement or criticism.
